The Ruth is the newest addition to the Beau Monde portfolio here in Charlotte. I was already really excited about it because I’m obsessed with The Collectors Room in Southend…but after the venue tour I took this week, I’m even more ready for weddings at The Ruth. UPDATED because now I’ve actually photographed several weddings at The Ruth and it’s such a dream- it’s the modern, clean wedding venue that Charlotte has been missing.

The Vibes

The Ruth is an aesthetic dream. huge floor to ceiling windows along with multiple skylights mean the lighting inside is stunning (hello amazing portraits) and paired with the statement bar and feature wall, it’s an incredibly beautiful and intentional space. The Ruth is beautiful by itself so you don’t have to add a ton of decor if you don’t want to, but it is a blank enough canvas to make your wedding whatever you want it to be. Anna and Katie (the lovely site managers) emphasized several times just how important it was to them that The Ruth was a warm, inviting space, and it absolutely is.

The Details + Features

along with a dedicated dance floor, wrap around patio (aka: best cocktail hour space ever) and two spaces for getting ready, The Ruth features an expansive outdoor space- something super rare for a venue in Charlotte proper! the outdoor space is lovely, with lounge areas and market lights. The Ruth can house 350 guests, and more intimate weddings (120 guests or less) will have the option to have their ceremony outside. and the bar! let’s talk about the bar. it’s maybe my favorite aspect of the entire venue. Beau Monde is going to have a dedicated bar program for their couples, including having the option for signature drinks. so we can take some fun couples portraits there, and then you can have a rad cocktail. let’s gooo. also- maybe the best part- there is ample parking available!

there are SO many spaces for couples portraits! the floor to ceiling windows, the stunning bar, the outdoor spaces- we’ll be able to create a ton of variety in your wedding photos. if you’re interested in doing a first look, the garden area or the front of the building would be perfect.
