I was lucky enough to end 2025 with Madison, Trevor, and their incredible friends + family and the best vendor team of all time. 10/10 day — I am thrilleddd to finally be sharing their elegant Christmas wedding at The Casey with you! The night before Christmas the wedding

‘Twas the night before the wedding, when all through the venue all the guests were stirring, especially the bride- and groom-to-be… no, that doesn’t really work. Figured I had to try and get a lil’ Christmas poem in there in honor of Madison’s love for Christmas, and the way she + Trevor incorporated such subtle, festive holiday themes throughout the weekend!

Anyway — it really WAS the night before the big day. Madison and Trevor gathered their closest loved ones for a special rehearsal dinner + welcome drinks at a nearby restaurant in Charlotte, and I’m so grateful I was able to be there and document it. This is your sign to have your wedding photographer tag along for all the extra festivities around your wedding — think welcome parties like this one, farewell brunches, etc… having the entire story of your celebration captured as it unfolds is such a gift!

Sentimental pre-ceremony moments

Okayyy now allow me to gush for a moment, because Madison + Trevor put together some of the most truly beautiful details I’ve ever seen. On par with their subtle Christmas theme, their color scheme was filled rich greens and deep, winter tones: luscious green anthuriums, cascading clusters of wisteria, dark blue bridal party gowns, and possibly my favorite of them all: single-stem calla lilies for every bridesmaid. I need to see more single-stem beauts like this, replacing traditional bouquets that often get tossed out immediately after the wedding — stunning, right?!

(Madison + Trevor’s incredible planner, Hayley of HUE Events, actually put together this Reel talking about why she loves this simplistic floral alternative: it’s beautiful, it’s minimalist, AND it saves you money. Wins all around).

All of this plus the bridesmaids in their cozy Christmas-themed getting ready robes, Trevor’s black velvet suit, and Madison’s breathtaking strapless gown? Jaw, meet floor. From the moment I arrived in their getting ready suites,  to the emotional first look Madison shared with her dad, to the badass bridesmaid photos by the bar… this was such a fabulous morning to be a part of.

First touches & emotional private vows

Instead of the traditional (well, I guess nontraditional) first look, Madison + Trevor opted for a “first touch,” meeting each other on opposite sides of a wall; close enough to touch but not to see one another. They took turns exchanging the vows they’d written to one another, reaching around the corner to hold hands and be present together — and even had a gorgeous floral installation centered between them. First touches like this are such a wonderful way to share a precious moment together before your ceremony if you don’t want to do a full-on first look, or if you want a chance to say your personal vows in private!

Madison and Trevor’s ceremony was beautiful for many reasons, but the backdrop behind them as they made things official blew my mind: stacks and stacks of candles arranged on towering white shelves, beneath a sparkling chandelier. Talk about enchanting in every sense of the word — I absolutely love to see couples and their planners getting creative like this, and thinking outside of the traditional ceremony box!

Sleighing the dance floor with Santa

The newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception, but only after a dreamy portrait sesh in front of said candles — because how could we not take advantage of that picture-perfect setup? The night continued on with first dances between the couple and their parents, guest sipping on beers in the background from the insane custom beer tap wall that their planner Hayley made. 

I looooved the florals and design of this entire reception: the couches, candles, and color scheme were all impeccable, and made the party such a blast!! Especially when Madison’s dad stepped out as Santa and turned the dance floor uppp a notch. I’m absolutely, head-over-heels obsessed with these two and the phenomenal day they crafted to celebrate their love — one I’m sure their friends + fam will never forget (I know I won’t)!!

How many guests can The Casey accommodate?

Buckle up, because the number might surprise you: The Casey can accommodate OVER 1,000 guests in its 12,000+ feet of event space… sooo no need to worry about ever running out of space! The very max guest capacity the venue can host is 1,200 social style, or 500 for a seated reception. For both a seated ceremony and reception, though, you’ll have to cap it at 250. Even so — there is a ton of room to mix and mingle throughout the venue without bumpin’ shoulders at every corner, whether you’re planning a micro wedding with 100 of your faves, or a grandiose celebration with hundreds of loved ones. 

How much does it cost to get married at The Casey?
