One of the things I love as a Charlotte wedding photographer is getting to capture all the special moments around the big day. This VanLandingham Estate bridal session is no exception! Things tend to be a little more relaxed during engagement or bridal sessions, and that often helps clients let down their hair and have a great time capturing some incredible images with me.
Kelsey scheduled this shoot before her wedding day and chose the INCREDIBLE VanLandingham Estate. This shoot gave us a chance to get more comfortable with one another, get some amazing photos, and allowed Kelsey to trial run her hair and makeup so she would be ready for her big day! Her gorgeous dress had delicate spaghetti straps and covered buttons down to the hem. It was elegantly simple, and she looked stunning, especially when she added her long, pearl-studded veil! Kelsey accessorized with a classic pearl necklace and pearl drop earrings. She completed her look with a sleek low bun and natural makeup.
The VanLandingham Estate is a DREAM venue located in the heart of Charlotte. It has an incredible location but feels so much like a private estate away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has been newly renovated and features an American craftsman-style home with dark green siding, brick patios, and stonework arches around the house. The inside of the house has a clean and modern feel with craftsman touches like beautiful chandeliers, wood and mason work, and a gorgeous staircase.
The grounds are just as incredible as the house. There are outdoor spaces suitable for both ceremonies and receptions including a paved and covered area so you can celebrate your big day no matter the weather! Nothing beats their garden, though. It feels like you are in a fairy tale! We spent almost all of our VanLandingham Estate bridal session out in the gardens because they are so gorgeous. I am looking forward to my next opportunity to shoot here again!
This was such a fun shoot at such a charming location. Kelsey’s simple, elegant look was perfect for the lush garden. I can’t wait to share her full wedding with you next month!
