I hope that you are ready for the most colorful wedding at The Ruth in Charlotte. This modern wedding was full of warm pinks and oranges, perfect for spring and summer. The colors stood out in their venue space, and everything was so beautiful. 

Skylar said from the very beginning that she LOVED color, and I was so excited to see her colorful vision come to life. She designed all of the stationery for the wedding, including the MOST ADORABLE drink stirrers of their dogs, Huck and River. The florals were bright and warm, and they were everywhere! Pink is my favorite color, and I love that she had it everywhere I looked. Skylar also used citrus in reception decor to continue the warm, colorful, spring vibes. 

The big day started off with Skylar and Scott getting ready separately. Skylar’s dress had a gorgeous, big bow at the waist in the front with a deep cutout along the neckline. She kept her hair swept up out of her face in a loose bun with lots of flowing pieces coming out. Her outfit wouldn’t be complete without some color, so, of course, she wore bright pink shoes. Scott stuck with a traditional black tux with a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie. After getting ready, they had their first look in front of a giant window overlooking the city, and I love how the photos turned out. 

Next, we headed to the wedding venue for the ceremony. The Ruth is a bright, modern space with white, neutral walls. This made all the colorful florals really pop in the space, especially the ceremony arch. Skylar also had some arrangements hanging from the ceiling above guests’ heads. They were beautiful, and it was so unique! They also had an artist who painted a picture of them during the ceremony and reception! It is such a treat to watch an artist work and create right in front of you. 

It was time to party after the ceremony. Guests enjoyed cocktails, including the stirrers that Skylar designed, at the incredible bar in the venue. Scott and Skylar shared their first dance, complete with twirls and her beautiful gown fanning out behind her. They brought in a neon sign with their last name and, of course, had their colorful florals. A live band performed, which always makes things so much fun. As the night was winding down, Skylar changed into a short, white, fringed dress, so she could really celebrate on the dance floor.
