I fell in love with The Andrews Farm the very first time I saw it. from the road, you can only see the sprawling farmland, but when you come around the bend in the driveway…it’s magic. it’s like a secret Italian villa, hidden out in the suburbs of Charlotte. it’s modern, utterly charming, and the design is stunning. it’s truly a photographer’s dream- there are so many gorgeous locations for photos, each of them more romantic than the last. there’s the rose garden. the ivy covered walls. the pebble-lined pathways, the tall hedges, the wall of glass windows. it’s completely romantic and completely unique to Charlotte- there is no other venue that even comes close to the ambiance of The Andrews Farm.
-how high can our guest count be? The Andrews Farm can hold 200 guests, but recommend having 150 or less.
-do we have to be out by a certain time? you don’t have to be out until 11pm, but music has to stop at 10pm. I’d think about doing a 10pm exit and everyone getting on shuttles back to Charlotte for an afterparty!
-is there any parking for guests? yep! they have a 60 space parking lot.
-what can I do for our exit? sparklers are permitted, but confetti and rice are not. you can also do ribbon wands or those cool streamer poppers. (the streamer is attached to the popper, so it looks really awesome AND cleanup is a breeze!)
-to reserve your wedding date, The Andrews Farm requires a 50% deposit.
-a planner from their vendor list is required. your planner has to be either a full or partial wedding planner- no day of/month of coordinators! being completely honest, I love this rule. something I tell all my couples is that if you truly want to have a stress-free wedding experience, you need a planner.
-since The Andrews Farm is about 40 minutes outside of Charlotte, I’d recommend looking into a shuttle service for guests. especially if you have a lot of people coming from out of town and staying in hotels in Charlotte. Rose Transportation and Silver Fox are both reputable local companies!
you can find out more about The Andrews Farm at their website here, and if you’ve already booked and need a wedding photographer…you know where to find me.
